Who am I?

I’m Aedan Huebner—novelist, worldbuilder, musician, gamer, amateur historian, and fantasy architect.

I grew up in the great state of Kansas, where my childhood was shaped by The Legend of Zelda series, Undertale, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Digimon. I’m currently surviving the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and quietly writing The Desolation Cycle in the background, a trilogy designed to capture the essence of the loss of innocence and regret while criticizing the modern world order and unleashing a dramatic romance all at once. One thing ties it all together: fire, a symbol of love, life, creation, destruction, and sheer will.

My writing has been inspired by The Lord of the Rings, Dune, Wings of Fire, The Legend of Zelda, Undertale, and Deltarune.

The Project

Right now, between learning to drive and making plans to go to KU after I graduate next year, I’m preparing to launch my debut novel:
The Autumn Crusade, Book One of The Desolation Cycle

Due to its substantial length, The Autumn Crusade will be released in two volumes, starting with The Squire’s Dream, which focuses on the drastic change in Webb’s life from the first spark of love to the beginning of his perilous quest. He falls in love, watches everything fall apart, and finds himself walking into a legend with nothing but a memory of hatred and a craving for adventure.

(Once both volumes there out, there will a complete edition release of The Autumn Crusade for those who enjoy longer reads).
